6 things the 1% landing pages do that 99% miss
What the best landing pages get right
I’ve torn apart 1000s of landing pages.
Here are 6 things the 1% landing pages do that 99% miss
1. Numbers > Buzzwords
❌ “Seamless, AI-powered workflows”
✅ “Grew MRR 47% in 60 days”
Trust isn't built by "seamless, AI-powered workflows."
It's built by numbers: Revenue, Users, Case studies.
Proof > Promise
2. Give Away Something That Hurts
Most lead magnets = boring PDFs.
Good ones feel expensive.
✅ Swipe files you actually use
✅ Frameworks you charge for
✅ Mini-courses that solve real problems
If you don't feel a little pain giving it away, it’s not valuable enough.
3. Fewer Choices = Higher Conversions
More options = more friction.
✅ 2–3 packages? Perfect.
❌ 6+ packages? You’ve lost them.
Simplify the path. Make it obvious where to click.
4. Show Social Proof with a Face
A logo wall is lazy.
Humans trust humans.
✅ Headshots
✅ Screenshots
✅ Real names + roles
Make your proof real, human, and visible. Proof should feel personal.
5. Use Testimonials That Kill Objections
Not “We love it!”
Use testimonials that answer fears:
✅ “I launched without code”
✅ “We doubled signups in 3 weeks”
Let your customers do the selling for you.
6. Your Headline Is a Promise
“On the average, five times as many people read the headline as read the body copy. When you have written your headline, you have spent eighty cents out of your dollar.”
Lesson:
You don’t need a prettier landing page.
You need a page that reads minds, solves fears, and screams “this is for you” in 3 seconds flat.
As promised, strategy in under 1 minute.
